Hi,

I have a few photos of models photographed by a professional photographer in a studio.

I want to isolate the model/subject from the background. How can I go about this?

I want a nice clean, plain white background. The models have whispy hair and all manner of other features that make using background removing impossible with photoshops background removal tools.

Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Minskie.

Hi Minskie,
There are many ways to remove the background. There are some tutorials on this site and the are a number of threads with examples. This one would be a good one to check out as well.

The other recommendation is that you upload one of your images to this site so that other members can provide you with advice specific to your needs.

Hi Murray,

Thanks for the info.

I can't upload these particular images as they are copyright & I don't want to do the wrong thing.

Cheers,
Minskie

Check out the Russel Brown site he has a couple of videos that deal with this issue, both on masking, the latest combines extract, paths, channels and masks and is very good. Also like mentioned there are plenty of threads here to look back through on this subject.
