I just noticed you wanted the shadow removed from the shoulder--I can fix that in 30 seconds if this is the general look you're after.

A couple of versions, 1 very contrasty, the other slightly softer.
Tried to soften the unsightly shadows but not completely remove them to keep a natural look

I think a little tint could help.

Also, What about a fast extreme make over on her teeth? I think it could help if it's just little noticed.

I used Ro's degrunge process and then a filter called optikVerve which offers many variations.

Used Lab mode and Lightness Channel then Ctrl J and added layer mask filled with black then using Screen Mode on the layer proceeded to spot click earrings to give extra glow....... Ran Edgarian Blur on the whole thing to give a dreamy look...... I always go for the ultra soft look... oh well...

@Ro...

Kind sir, I am learning a lot from your posts and tutorials - now my attempt at an image fix I'm not going to post <sigh>, but I really like your work on this piece - would it be too much to ask you the general steps you used to get there? Custom graphics were easy compared to photo repair... imo. ;-)

Thanks very much!

Doug

...would it be too much to ask you the general steps you used to get there? Hello there, Doug. :bigthmb:

Unfortunately I don't remember the exact steps (I was almost falling asleep) but I'm sure I used the de-Grunge trick, darkened the background and the dress some more and used a median-filtered layer masked in to clean up the edges.

Besides that, general tricks from my toolbox, which unfortunately isn't available on the site any more. However, I should be posting the new verson this weekend. (Honest)

Lightened shadows on an Overlay 50% Gray layer, enhanced eyes, hair and lips a bit, added an Overlay blend to the whole image and reduced opacity.
