Hi All.. firstly I should say hi to everyone, I've been lurking off and on for a few weeks now and I've picked up lots of great stuff that helps my workflow.. thanks to all the posters here!!

I have a really, really, quick and simple question.. I feel like a dope having to ask it honestly..

I'm trying to make a luminosity mask on a Photoshop CS2 file on a Mac but the old "Cmnd+option+shift+tilde" doesn't bring a selection anymore! - has something changed or do I need more sleep?

Any ideas?

Check the language bar and see if its set correctly. This happened to me where the language was set to US English when I'm using a UK English keyboard. Hope this helps.

In the Channels palette you can CMD-click on the composite RGB icon.

Thanks edgework.. that does the trick!

BUT it still wont work using the key combination..

I tried checking the language bar.. (thanks chazcarp) but it still wont work.

Has something changed in CS2 and Mac 10.4?

iClick, I think you have one key too many. I don't believe the shift key is to be used. On a PC the command is Ctrl+Alt+~ and so I assume on a MAC it would be CMD+Opt+~

thank you iclick for asking this question, and thank you mistermonday for solving the problem. i have been agonising over making a luminosity mask in cs and cs2 on a mac for ages. i still don't understand why command+ option+ tilde doesn't work, but at least you've solved the problem!! YAY! WOOT! YAY!

Try Shift+opt+Cmd+`.
