About two days ago I took this photo of Old Sheldon Church located near Beaufort, SC. A very peaceful place now. It was built between 1745 and 1755. It was burned by the British Army in 1779. It was rebuilt in 1826 only to be burned again by the Federal Army in 1865.

At any rate feel free to work with this photo in any way you wish. :pleased: :classic:

I don't know that looks more like a British Flame to me.

I used Studio Artist. Basically increasing the contrast and lowering the tone of the darker sections.

Phil had to do a double take on your title, Why ? because althoug our local parish church is St Giles, Us locals refer to it as Sheldon church

On this i used impressionist overlayed by a sketch

Palms1-Very Nice and Peaceful

Kiska- The vertical brush strokes on the pillars gave me the feeling that the place was sort of melting away.

SteveConway- Your brush strokes sort of remind me of good old V. Van G.

Thanks for posting.
