My CS2 has lost the lighting styles. How do I get them back? :(

Filter...Render...Lighting Effects....Styles drop-down dialog box has a blank field for styles options

There should be the following options: 10 O'Clock, 2 O'Clock Spotlight, Blue Omni, Crossing, etc. There should be a total of about 18 options and I have none. :question:

I checked my Plug-ins/Filters/Lighting Styles directories and the files are intact in their directory, but CS2 just will not access them.

Can somebody help with a solution?

The procedure did infact create the new file, but CS2 still doesn't function properly.

If no one else is able to come up with a solution here at RetouchPRO, consider posting your question (and what you've tried so far, e.g., Ro's idea) on the Photoshop forum at www.Adobe.com where a lot of heavyweight PS jocks hang out.

I've never had the problem, but many filters and effects are not available in certain color modes. Make sure you are in RGB mode?

....in the same folder, you could try the backup/rename trick also on the preferences file (better than just re-installing everything):

Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Prefs.Paint Shop Pro (with CS, not 7.0 ;) , somewhere in the name)

Photoshop will enter with all the default (factory) preferences restored.
If that doesn't solve it then just rename your old preferences file back.
