Anyone know of any wide angle lenses available for the Sony F828, I have not had any luck searching

The specs show the 828 does not have an interchangeable lens.

I personally don't know the answer, but do a search at DPreview.com in the Sony Forum and you'll find several threads with some information about people trying supplementary wide-angle lenses for the F828

From a quick look around the sony support site the camera has 58mm threads on the front of the lens and there are accessory lenses made for that filter thread diameter.

58mm wide angle lens selection at b&h there. I believe there are some camcorders (Sony's VX2100 for example) that have a 58mm thread also so that might help in finding something if you want to go this route.
