I created this painting using the technique described HERE (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13189)

I used to raise golden retreivers and I grew to love these gentle dogs. In this photo the eyes lacked detail and expression so I reworked them, basically, from scratch. I find this technique using Photoshop and Painter IX to be a very effective method of creating the "painterly" look.

Suddenly the world is my oyster - so many photos, so little time. Must paint, must paint... Take more photos, then paint! Hmmmm? Its late, I'd better turn in.

Does anyone else get like this? :eek:

This is very nice. I love the lighting, everything. Such cute dogs. I'm glad you preserved the expression on their faces.

I have a question/statement however. I'm assuming, since you have posted your pictures in the forum rather than the gallery, that you would want the rest of us to be able to work on your originals and increase our talents as well. Right? If that is so, then where are your originals? Huh? Huh? Huh???
