I'm trying to port actions working in Elements version 3 into Elements version 4, and I'm getting snagged on some of the changes made in version 4 - specifically that one can no longer do a Curves function nor add a Curves layer (among others).

I saw a set of additional "Hidden Power Booster Elements, with Curves" for sale at http://hiddenelements.com/downloads.html that purport to add these features back into version 4.

1. Does one need these extra "Booster Elements" if one buys the book with the Hidden Power tools? I'm assuming they're not included, as the price of the "Booster Tools" alone is more than that of the book.

2. Will actions calling for the missing Curves and other functions work without modification in Elements version 4 if just the "Booster Elements" are added?

Booster Elements is not included with the book. I have other work-arounds for Curves.

I hadn't tried that, but my best guess is no. An additional drawback to that approach would be that everyone who used your actions would have to have the Booster Elements package too. So I'm not sure it is the best plan, especially since there are better Hidden Power ways to do it.

You have already contacted me about making adjustments to the actions you have...I would be willing to work with you on them. I am positive we can come to a simple agreement and get some good distribution. I had over 700 unique visitors to my site just yesterday...
