View Full Version : Eye Lashes Lillyvo 05-02-2006, 11:15 PM Hello!
I am trying to learn the art of photo retouching. I have been reading all the Tutorials and searching the web. Im trying to learn how to do the retouching that pageant retouchers do.
I have attached some eye lashes that IM trying to master. Any suggestions? Any Tutorials? Flora 05-03-2006, 07:39 AM Hi Lillyvo,
welcome to RetouchPRO! :pleased:
We don't have Tutorials on pageant retouching here at RetouchPRO, but you could find this Thread (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11018&highlight=eyelashes) interesting as it contains links to two sets of eyelash brushes ...
If you need any help with the set I created, don't hesitate to contact me... :pleased:
Hope this helps. Lillyvo 05-03-2006, 10:11 AM THanks, I know that you all don't teach pageant retouching but post of the things I have found on here helps me get that effect with my photos.
So if its ok, could I continue to ask questions? Flora 05-04-2006, 04:36 AM Hi Lillyvo,
So if its ok, could I continue to ask questions? absolutely yes! Even though we don't deal with pageant specifically, you might find some of our tutorials or Threads on 'skin enhancement/improvement' very useful... here are some examples...

A search (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/search.php?) for specific topics will get you even more results... ray12 05-04-2006, 07:21 PM I was able to make up a custom set of eye lash brushes of my own by finding a good model picture on the web - then tracing around her lashes and then make a "define brush shape". These brushes are just the lashes themselves. You can make them whatever color, size or opacity you want. I put them on a separate layer and free-transform or warp them into just the perfect shape and size.
I think you are on the right track. Flora especially has some great resources in her material.
I have about 8 sets of different kinds of lashes. I just dab them once onto my portraits. They go from from casual, to sophisticated, to outlandish. Its a great resource to have and use. Several good links have mentioned where to get these brushes. They are great.
Keep at it - it takes time to build up your own library of effects and tricks.
Good luck. If you want several of mine - you can PM me. aileycat 01-06-2007, 11:44 PM This has help me so much that I wanted to give a little back. these are saved in png so will work in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. ruud92 01-07-2007, 04:59 AM Hello!
