Hi, I have a quick question to ask. My girl friend has some pictures that she needs copied to a CD. She says that the pictures must be saved as a JPG file. I scanned the images as a JPG file, and added text to the images that had writing on the back, or was provided with a sticky note. As I looked through the list of images, some are JPG, and some are photoshop images. I guess I have to rescan, and not put the text in as they would like? I guess I'm not sure. Im sure someone can straighten me out, thanks in advance.

You shouldn't need to rescan, just open the Photoshop files in Photoshop and save as jpgs.

If you added a text layer and did not flatten the file, then it would have saved as a PSD with layers. As Paul points out you can do a File>Save As and save a jpg copy and just keep the psd copy if you think you will need to change the text some time.
BTW, another way to add text is to do a File>info and you have multiple places to enter a ton of info regarding the file. It will be stored as meta data along with the file, however if the recipient's s/w can not read the meta data, the info will be of no use to them.
