Hi all, I believe way back several months ago, I saw a link here to an incredible portrait site. The imagery as I recall was either B&W or very muted colors, with incredible vibrance, such as a portrait of an older gent smoking a cigar. The images were almost 3D and very dramatic. I just remember there being a FAQ on the web site which included the question of how they acheived the effects, the answer to which was much Photoshop'ing and not any particular action, per se.

The images reminded me of memorable images of Churchill or other dignitaries.

I can't remember the site for the life of me. Anybody have any idea of the site I'm talking about?

Thanks for any help.

WOW. What a site and what work... I believe the FAQ part of it is gone though. I didn't see a link there... too bad...

Regarding the FAQ, I may have just emailed him. It's been a while.

Dave, that site is a great illustration. It also refers to some other influences apparently in the Andrzej Dragan vain so I'll have to check those out.

Thanks all.
