Hi all I have seen all the great work done with "challenge 43 amber", both of my attempts have been missing (in my opinion) one major element (eye makeup), Can any one suggest the best way to learn what colours go with what hair and eye combo, application tips, I know it sounds a little odd but I is totally in the dark, the best I have ever done is on challenge Called "Glam Girl" or "Jennifer" in 2003 (what a long time ago I didn’t have any grey hair then, sorry I digress)

The way I normally get round the issue is to ask a female friend to look at the image and ask if the colours match. But I would like it to be all me :), any help would be appreciated.

You can't go wrong with brown and natural colors of different shades, whatever looks good. At least that's what I do in real life! :dizzy:

I would suggest looking at places that show color combinations that you can draw from... cosmetic companies' web sites and fashion magazines are filled with this kind of information.

Ah, what you men go through to make women look good, huh? lol

Seriously though. Here is a great link. My mom is a Mary Kay rep., and on her site there are application tips, etc. based on what your eyes are shaped like. This ought to be a great guide for you.

Eye makeup application charts (http://www.marykay.com/candyrobertson/whatsnew/applicationstips/eyepromise/applyhere.aspx?tab=whatsnew)

Hope this helps!

Another great thing you could do is to flip through fashion magazines, and maybe also pay a visit to a cosmetics store or department. It is sort of hard to present any general solution, as it pretty much depends on the person and the composition of the image. A good makeup artist goes through extensive training, so getting it right takes time and effort.

Hi guys thanks, Dawn that link it great. I'll have a look at the other makeup sites and this one much better than any others I have looked at as they were mostly text biased. I think I just need to put it all into practice (on a image of course) :)
