A photo of a horse for you to paint, add filters or whatever!!!!

Went for a walk to the other side of the island late April and came across two horses in a padock...thought this one was nice and have sent it cause Palms is fed up with cats and flowers for the moment!!!

Really, really like this preset for watercolors. I also did some preprocessing in GIMP (Retinex to open up the dark areas and sharpen overall image). Some color and selective color painting as well. :)

Simplified and sharpened then used history brush on seperate layer to pull picture through.

Patricia, thanks. PaintEngine is a free plugin filter from a company called Fantastic Machines. You can find it on the net along with many, many settings. Also, Danny Raphael has moderated several threads on it here at RetouchPro.

Hey Patricia,

CherylH's Finger Paint 1 is an Impressionist preset that I got from KentC (I believe he's a member of this forum, but I've not seen any posts as of late from him here; he frequents DPReview's forum a lot. If you pass him an email, he can pass on to you all of his private collection (which I actually got from him). Also, I just found out the Cheryl H is a member of our forum too; can pass her an email for these presets too. Danny might even have a link to the preset on the Impressionist Forum Thread. :)

Alan,

What Paint Engine preset did you use? I really like your result. :)
