This picture belongs to my friend, shes into searching for her families history, would you like to work on this picture?
The tall one stood at the back is her grandfather, handsome chap isn't he?
Second one is the original one, i did try but lost the plot on the first one.

Not sure what you are looking for but to me the picture looks in good shape. Other than a little touch up of spots I would not make a lot of changes.
I guess you could experiment with removing a little green and making it more of a sepia tone, but just me I like it as it is.

Well I believe the major problem with the photo is that there are too many jpeg artifacts. These mess up the edges of the faces. I would recommend rescanning and use a non compressed file like tiff. Or a more conservative jpeg compression

Butch and Phil they look amazing, well done, they do look very impressive, i am not sure what i was looking for, as i have never restored a photo before, but you two made it looks so new, as in victorian new!
