I'm looking to step my game up on color correcting and gaining a better understanding of color theory and color modes....and was just curious if anyone could recommend some books that they have read or heard were great to learn from. I have a pretty good understanding of cmyk since i've been doing print production for a while now, and base my colors by #'s instead of what my monitor shows. I guess i'm looking to learn a little more about RBG, LAB, Color conversions, etc., and some professional level color correcting techniques that are out there.
I appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

No one surpasses Dan Margulis in the knowledge of color correction. You can find all of the books on Amazon.com

Here!! Here!!....for Dan Margulis's books! They are about the best you can get. He does a lot 'by the numbers' and originated from the CMYK world. I, on the other hand, come from the RGB world, but was able to understand and utilize his practices. The book on LAB color space is invaluable. The full title is "The Canyon Connundrum, Photoshop LAB Color". Another that covers color correction, but isn't limited to it is the book by Katrin Eisman: Photoshop Restoration and Retouching.
