Bumpmapping and drop shadow effects. Some Overlay painting with black pen as well. Saturation adjustments too. :)

This picture begs for the old treatment. :classic:

Thanks Craig; bumpmapping tends to sharpen photos a bit (mostly an asset).

Like the frame Fox. :)

Apologies for using Fox's idea, but he was right it just asks for treatment as an old image.

Lovely photo Peter S...

Great renditions by all but i particularly like the two old treatment ones....works really well for the steam engine...

Here is mine done in Photoshop CS2 with the oils art history brush and then Flaming Pears Aetherize...brought back some detail with the detail sharp art history brush...

Patricia....

Mervelous work in this thread so far. It is uplifting to see. Thank you for sharing and for making me wish I had more time to work on pictures such as this one.

That goes double for me. Mine was a little rushed, and it shows after seeing this lot

Here's a sort of watery colour effort.
Based on the Sergeant action from intellsketch in Russia.

Regards to all,
Mitch.

photomaster, nice. the posterizing works well here and you got just the right amount.

skydog, good, but all that black makes it look like the smoke is just choking everything up. could just be a gamma setting on my machine, though.

palms, i like that. i can imagine the tractor being just freshly delivered from the factory...all new and sparkly.

i love this stuff :)

Craig,

I know what you mean about the way it would drive, - I think I had a car like that once. :dizzy:
