I forget, what do you celebrate the 4th of July for?

We celebrate the birth of our country and the great freedoms our forefathers fought and died for. And we give thanks for the brave men and women who carry on in that tradition even today. God bless America!

So it is, seems you didn't kick out everything British (though you've made a good job of making the language unrecognisable). :D :D

Hope you all had a great 4th July. Down with the Rebels! :D :D

hehe, gary. your quips about we colonials always reminds me of that bit in the movie, 'The Great Escape' where one of the English officers is asking one of the Americans about how we're doing over there ;) and then the other bit from, i think it was Winston Churchill, remarking on something like 'one people separated by a common language' :) (i know that's wrong, but the flavor is right).

by the way, we're doing well, thank you :)

happy 4th!

Glad to hear it.

Now if you'd just learn to drink tea instead of chucking it in the harbour, there'd be hope for you.

Speaking of "The Great Escape", don't suppose you've got any of that "Genuine American Moonshine" left over from the 4th that you could spare have you. :D :D

I explained the same thing just the other day, if they wanted to drink coffee all they had to do was ask. :D

I had a nice 4th and I am loving the hospitality in my new life in the States.

So I guess you'll get the same blank looks that I usually get when I speak to people in the States, they seem to have problems with a Yorkshire accent (or maybe it's just my Yorkshire accent).

Keep getting asked if I'm from Australia.

Anyway, after they pick themselves up from the floor, I explain that this is not the case. :D :D :D

Good luck with the missionary work.
