I am interested in photo retouching as a profession and wondering if there is a large enough demand out there for this type of service?

I am in Australia.

Any thoughts before I commit to an expensive correspondance course?

I can't really answer that question really, or maybe I'm not awake enough, but if you look down below your post, you 'should see' similar posts that might help.
