I'm sure someone here knows the answer. I have Photoshop CS2. I just bought a Canon 30D. The raw files created by the 30D are not recognized. I've checked to insure my updates are up to date, and the software says they are. Am I missing something?

I had the same problem with my brand new Canon a610. File not recognized... Not CRW files, but just JPEGs. CS2 refused to open them. Turned out to be a bad SD memory card. (It was the OEM 16mb card that came with the camera. Got a great deal on a 1gig 80x SD card at ZipZoomFly for under $40.)

Consider downloading the free Adobe "Convert to DNG" program. Use that to off load the folder of CRWs from your camera. There will be no loss or compression of CRW data, but the resulting DNG files will be about 1mb smaller and save hard drive space. You can also rename and auto number the DNGs as they are being imported ala a GUI similar to Bridge's auto name/number routine.

Make sure you're using the most recent update for Adobe Camera Raw. It should be available at adobe.com
