With the exception of the image composed of circles, I can envision how the rest could be created by building and applying "patterns."

I think the 'impossible' part is that they appear to move, when they are completely static. They're optical illusions. Being saved as gifs makes it harder to tell, but if you stare at one particular part, it stops moving and other parts start.

When I was in college many moons ago I did a report on optical illusions. Interesting how the mind tries to compensate for what one sees... Like our built-in "auto color balance" -- much better than the "A" setting on any DSLR. :)

Sorry but that is way to spooky for a Monday morning ! But very good, Optical illusions are a very interesting subject ( cant spell phenonama )
