Hiya all, here's a question, (not really about an image, I suppose) it's more on PScs. I was doing a water colour yesterday useing the art history brush and I was well into it and lost the source, by mistakenly moveing the icon in the history docker. I have got the "undo" count set to the largest it can be in "preferences". Is there any way I could have got it back to where it was? (and yes I know I should have set a snapshot, but I'm an idiot sometimes).......Thanks in antisipation, John

If you had turned on the history log, you would have had a detailed record of what you had done to the image and therefore could have worked backward or started over again. Unfortunately I do not believe there was any way that you could have gone back to the delete state. History takes up huge amounts of memory and / or scratch disk. It also slows down PS performance as the number of steps grows. So PS is quite eager to purge any states that it can.

Thanks Murray:-Yea I had the history log on, but the source icon had long been lost, in the mists of time. It is as I suspected a long lost cause!!!!Ah well start again....John
