This thread was given to me with the question, when I work this exactly the way it's supposed to be through I end up with same picture as before.

I tried it, and got the same result....

Anyone any ideas, the technicolor effect seems a good addition to my tools :D

Greetings,
Frank

Greetings,
FrankHi, Frank:

Welcome to RetouchPRO...

Looks like a facinating multi-pass application of the Calculations command. Is this how you are approaching the workflow?

Well I did it exactly the same as mentioned here but somehow I end up with exact the same result as the original, what seems like magic to me anyway, you know the magician that makes the most complicated knots and pulls the cord and it's normal again :D

I also found this on another site.
R = 2R - (G+B)/2
G = 2G - (R+B)/2
B = 2B - (R+G)/2

And apply that with the original.

I will try that tonight when I'm back at my studio.

Greetings,
Frank

Hi Frank
Welcome to Retouch Pro.

Are you trying to do this from a single black and white negative/image?
This is done from three b&w negatives taken through red green and blue filters

I am afraid it’s not possible from a single negative. Please see this thread for more details.

Hope this helps

Hi Frank.

Apologies for my first post. It was not until I read Danny’s link that I understood.

I also tried ‘the method’ and I also finished up with virtually identical results to the starting image.
It looks like there is something missing somewhere.

Its an interesting project though. I would be interested to hear more about this. Especially if you find a ‘working’ method.

Ken.
