View Full Version : Have I gone too far with this one?

I am learning that I have a bad habit of going too far, so I thought I would get input.

I also was wondering about the splotchy skin. I like texture, and wanted to try to keep his stubble. Mostly cuz I wanted to learn how to keep it but also fix the color underneath, same with his pores. I did not want to get rid of them completely.

My concerns are :

1. The right eye looks a bit off, and I am not sure why...

2. The lips, tough finding texture for that bit on the right side of the picture.

3. Hue. Does the color of the skin look off? (aside from the splotchy parts?)

Thanks a bunch.

yeah his right eye is squinty...try a selection and free transform to open it up a bit. lips look ok, and hue seems about right to me. maybe a tad more cyan.

The color looked good to me on my good monitor. You seem to have lost the texture in the skin above his lip on the right side. Maybe add some of the hair back in. Good job.

Looks pretty good to me. If you want to equalize the eye sizes, the liquify filter (photoshop CS2) will be perfect for the job.

Looks good to me. You were able to retouch the photo, and the subject remains very natural looking.
