I found my nieces and after 25 years we are going on a trip to meet them and reconnect. These young women are my brothers daughters and he passed at a very young age. I am trying to fix some of the very few pictures and I mean few old pics I have to take to the girls. I have about 4 I would like anyone willing to look at and help with please. Yhank you . Well the one on the right has a lot of paper texture in it which needs to be removed. Some here would use the FFT filter which I do not have. I used several levels adjustment layers to apply varying amount of levels throughout the photo. I then used Neat image to remove some of the texture. Finally there is a water spot or something around the dogs head that I cloned out.

As Phil stated there is a lot of texture in the paper as well as damage. I tried to keep some of the detail in the faces. If you have other photos you may refine the features a little.

I gave the second one a try... Nothing fancy,... I don't know fancy...lol, just a lot of cloning mostly with the blendmode set to darken.
