I am trying to fix some of the very few pictures and I mean few old pics I have to take to the girls. I have about 4 I would like anyone willing to look at and help with please. Yhank you . This is the only size I have to post. Nebgranny

Well the one on the right has a lot of paper texture in it which needs to be removed. Some here would use the FFT filter which I do not have. I used several levels adjustment layers to apply varying amount of levels throughout the photo. I then used Neat image to remove some of the texture. Finally there is a water spot or something around the dogs head that I cloned out.

Hello Nebgranny

Sounds like some exciting times reconnecting with long lost family...scary as well I'm sure... good luck to you.

As Phil stated there is a lot of texture in the paper as well as damage. I tried to keep some of the detail in the faces. If you have other photos you may refine the features a little.

Thank you phil and butch. Yes exciting yet scarey journey about to begin. Thank you both for the results. How about the other one were you afraid of it lol. It is a mess for sure. But it is of a special person and would like to get it a little better. Thanks Again Neb :rainbow:

Hi Nebgranny

I gave the second one a try... Nothing fancy,... I don't know fancy...lol, just a lot of cloning mostly with the blendmode set to darken.
