Thanks to everyone for the comments. They were very helpful and I think that I have responded to them all.

1. The baby's head has been repositioned for a more normal appearance.

2. I replace the baby's arm.

3. I added some noise to the baby's skin as it was a bit too smooth for the grain on this pic.

4. I added some warmer tones to the tint.

5. I eliminated the vertical compression that was so apparent after Bart pointed it out.

Comments, suggestions, knives, and barbs are all welcome (How do you bring over a photo that's already here? The original is on the orig. post. Sorry!).

Looks much better, head of the little girl in a more natural looking position.

One very minor quibble. The new arm on the girl is a little hard on the outer edge around her elbow (above and below), also her hand is little too sharply focused when compared to the man's hand below. A tiny amount of blurring should take care of it.

But you have to really be nitpicking to see this, most "normal" viewers probably wouldn't notice it.

I wasn't sure if the hand was blended well enough or if it was just because I knew it was there. See new attachment. I sent the little girl a preview yesterday and she was thrilled. She didn't have any photos of her with her father except for her wedding day. Feels good.

That works better for me. :bigthmb:

Yeah, its nice when you can give someone something they otherwise wouldn't have.

I did a similar thing for my wife a bit back. Suprisingly she didn't have a picture of her Mom and Dad together (her Dad's no longer with us), so I combined a couple of pictures, and all the family wanted copies of the result. As you said, makes you feel good.
