I've worked on the uniform a bit and the face. Any thoughts?

Certainly a military cadet, but I don't see anything to define it as West Point. Could be VMI, Citadel or any other military academy of the time.

Maybe this individual is in a religous order of some Kind instead of the miliary?

That is certainly a thought on the pictures. Maybe I can do some nosing around.

Thank you all for your input and thank you Ernie for the information of the uniform jacket. From your information I was able to add more to my portfolio of images to use when working on these treasures.
