I looked through your online stuff and really couldn't see what had been masked, and what hadn't.
I did see this though, on one of the images I saw a purple area, it's not supposed to be there I don't think.

Look to the right hand side of the wall piece, (in the shadows) and also down below it.
It appears that it was selected, rather than actually masked.
That might also be because it is now a lower resolution image too, I don't know...

Normally, if showing what was masked, one would show it before and after, that way we can see exactly what was done.
In these though, not unless I am overlooking something very obvious, I don't see what was done.
I am an experienced masker myself, I did way too much of it when I was a retoucher, and it wasn't too fun! heheh

Also, normally an image would be apparent by a new background, such as a flat color, or something to that effect.
What I see on these are what appears to be the same background, which doesn't let me know what you did at all.
It's not always that apparent though, I know that when I did jewlery that we used the original background, but we always neutralized the background, and used the shadows off of one channel.
That one channel would be made grayscale.
Maybe you are only supposed to make masks for backgrounds and then they are used only for color-corrections, not background replacements.

So, I hope that you don't take it as I am being rude at all, but I can't see what you have done really, or, I am insane, which is the most likely possiblity.
