View Full Version : Poser 5 for FREE! Well, it seems that the folks over in 3-D world are falling over themselves to give stuff away.
Last week it was Bryce 5 (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14384) now it's Poser 5. (http://www.contentparadise.com )
As with the Bryce give-away it is not the latest version - but it's pretty close to Poser 6.....
......and you can't beat the price.
(You do have to register, but that's free too)
Rô Cameraken 08-31-2006, 07:16 PM Hi Rô.
I followed your link and signed up
I then received email conformation and registered fully.
I still can’t find poser 5 for free?? :bawling:
Ken. Racc Iria 08-31-2006, 07:24 PM Ken...
At the top of the page click on "Software" then "Poser." Once that page loads you should see some product thumbnails in the "Related Products" section. Free Poser 5 should be the second item. Click on that to go to the Poser 5 page. Add it to your cart and then click "Checkout."
Since you've already registered, you should be taken right to the invoice/download page. Look carefully at this page... the serial number is provided here. Anyway, there are two files to download totalling over 630MB! EEK!
--Racc Cameraken 08-31-2006, 07:57 PM Thank You Racc.
Look carefully at this page... the serial number is provided here
From your instructions I have found the download page but there is no serial number on the page.
I don’t want to get this wrong because it is a 27 hour download on my modem
Should I just download it? Or do I need the serial number first?
It may be better to download this on my friends PC with Broadband.
Ken. From your instructions I have found the download page but there is no serial number on the page.
You get the serial in the confirmation e-mail.
I have Poser 6 and wanted to get 5 to check backward compatability, however two download have aborted already (still got 8 more chances).
Rô Racc Iria 09-01-2006, 07:51 AM Ken...
I saw that page along the way. That's where you choose between Mac/PC. It doesn't quite look like you've made it to the check out page.
Since I had not registered before that, it was right after I cose the platform that it said I had to register and took me to the registration page.
--Racc Cameraken 09-01-2006, 02:39 PM Thanks. I have now got 3 serial numbers but no download
Eventually I got this
Download Limit Reached
Due the high demand for the Poser 5 free download your download has been delayed temporarily please wait several hours before attempting to download again.
We apologize for the inconvenience however your Poser 5 free download will remain available to you through the MyStuff tab indefinitely.
It looks like they are very busy but at least I have a copy reserved. I will try again later
Ken. Cameraken 09-12-2006, 05:23 AM Has anyone got this yet?
I have just been reading the forum at Content Paradise and it seems everyone is having problems. I am now getting a ‘Page not found’ error.
Ken. Janet Petty 09-12-2006, 06:58 AM I believe that everyone is having problems because the Poser program now costs $19.95 just like Art Rage. The product is great for the price.
Janet Steve Conway 09-12-2006, 07:37 AM Be aware that these "give aways" are a great way for the companies to get you hooked to buy all the needed figures and accessories.
I got Daz free a while back and after fighting with a very badly designed program and very few included accessories to work with, I gave up and trashed the whole thing.
Poser may be better...but remember to not expect too much to work with to be included free.
Steve recrisp 09-12-2006, 08:29 AM I had a lot of trouble on the second download, I tried many times over several days... I kept getting all of the above messages which resulted in me not being able to download it at all, but last night, instead of trying to use the link that was provided (in e-mail) for me to get it, I tried the FIRST e-mail that was sent to me.
That e-mail was entitled, "Content Paradise: Sign-in Notification".
If you click on the, "Click Here to Register" link in that fist e-mail, it will allow you to download it, or at least it did let me. I do remember reading on one of the register pages that if you've already signed up, it would be available to you at any time, so don't be too worried about how long it's been.
This is the link for, "Click Here to Register", in case it will work for you.

I hope this helps.
Randy Cameraken 09-12-2006, 02:35 PM Thanks Randy. :bigthmb:
That was a great tip.
The whole lot downloaded in two hours and has installed perfectly.
So I’ve got my super Hero cape and utility belt, now all I need is a very simple tutorial. :clown:
Thanks again. I would never have thought of that.
Ken. recrisp 09-12-2006, 04:48 PM No problem Ken, I accidently found it myself, and for while there I figured I'd never get the program at all... heh
Good luck on that tutorial, but I actually found it best (for me) to just play around, and not have any expectations of perfection.
That way, if I lose something, it's no big deal, and believe me, I have.
One thing I have definitely learned using Poser is, always ave, save as much as possible, and, sometimes that doesn't even help. :)
Randy korwegian1 09-14-2006, 11:50 AM I have acually been able to download it also, however, they did not provide me with a serial number, so i can't even open the program.
as far as tutorials... they have a little something in .pdf format that kind of explains "how to pose". the program looks great, i just cant use my copy... ....however, they did not provide me with a serial number, so i can't even open the program.
Didn't you receive a confirmation e-mail? The serial number is there.
Rô korwegian1 09-14-2006, 01:10 PM Didn't you receive a confirmation e-mail? The serial number is there.

as i had stated before.
*SERIAL NUMBER TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE (PS5/Win)
as per confirmation email....
Any suggestions. I already went to the "help section and generated multiple tickets about this, but it's been about three days now. I think I might just give up on it. Anyone got extra serial numbers? Littlecoo 09-14-2006, 04:26 PM Korwegian, this is an email I received from CPSupport(did you get this?) with instructions re serial number... I followed this and got my serial with no problems.
Due to the high demand, for a short time we had used up all available Serial Codes. New ones were added for future sales almost immediately. For those that do not have a Serial Code, please do the following. For those that think they have a Bad Serial Code, or can not get Poser to take their Serial Code, instructions are near the bottom.
First make sure you did not get one.
Click on My Stuff.
Click on the Order Number of the Poser 5 Order (or the view Link, if the Poser 5 Order is not on your Recent Purchases and you must Search Order History)
The Serial Code will be under the Product Description on that Order Details Page. If you see
Issued Serial Number: SERIAL NUMBER TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE
contact me doing the Following.
Send an e-mail to support@contentparadise.com with the Following Subject.
RAT I NEED SERIAL CODE FOR POSER 5
In the Text of the Message, include your Order Number.
I will send you what you need to get your Serial Code.
I apologize about this, but during the short time the system ran out of Serial Codes, there were many customers that did not get one and this will get the fastest response.
For those that are having troubles getting the Serial Code to take...
Make sure you are entering the Code Correctly.
There are no Capital Letter O's they are all the Number Zero. Also, make sure that you read it carefully. Do not confuse a Number for a Letter.
If you still have troubles send a Message to
support@contentparadise.com
with the Subject
RAT Serial Code Help
in the Body of the Message, include your Order Number.
This will get the fastest response.
Please, do not respond to this message, use a new e-mail or Ticket using the above Subjects. korwegian1 09-14-2006, 04:41 PM I am going to try it today. Thank you so much! I am excited once again. | |
