Does anyone have any experience with monitor profiling? I have The eye-one display 2, but i tried it our on my ibook before i go and use it on my lcd, and the profile that it created was way off. Any feedback would be appreciated.

You'll have to be more specific by what "way off" means. I use the i1, but not on an LCD screen.

Make sure you have the latest version of the software (I think they're on 3.3 now)

Hey, what i mean by way off is it makes the color a brownish tint, and images start to look posterized. I'm not even using the advanced mode....all i have to do is set the screen type, which is laptop. IT worked fine when i tested it on a LCD monitor.

Try the advanced mode. It gives you more options and a more accurate profile (I believe). From what I understand, laptops are a little tricky, but the LCD should profile nicely. I find the Display 2 takes a long time, but the results are great.

Hey mike thanks for the reply, The advanced mode takes a little bit but the results on an LCD are really nice. Definitely worth it. I just can't figure out what's going on with the laptop screen, but it's only an ibook used for the web and stuff so i'm not going to go crazy over it. But i'll give it another shot with advanced mode. thanks.

Glad the LCD is calibrating for you. Unfortunately, I don't have or ever used a laptop so I can't be much help there. But the advanced mode should improve it anyway. Good luck!
