I have a PDF File in CYMK and I need it in doutone with transparency to be sent to ilustrator. The thing is when it's saved I lose the background in transparency.

I know illustartor CS/CS2 support transparency from Photoshop CS documents. Try opening the pdf in photoshop, and saving the psd with a transparent bkgd...and then go to your illustrator file and place the psd, not paste.

I'm working with PS 7 and Ilustrator CS. That may be the problem

ps 7 should work i think, make sure that you're saving the psd with no info in the background, not even white, so that you see the transparency grid.

then, make sure that when you're in illustrator, you go to file>place>your file....instead of pasting it in. It should preserve the transparancy.
