View Full Version : from ordinary to EXTRAORDIARY yelhsaneerg 09-19-2006, 03:10 PM once again i have tried to make up for my lack of photography skills and and equipment by using photoshop to make the photo look "cooler"...here is a regular photo from home that i tried to give a more "professional" feel to it, not like it was just taken in my bedroom :P did that make sense? i'm not that technical about things but i have some grasp on the techniques commonly used, i mostly just try to make the pictures pretty....anyway, i'd LOVE for you to let me know what u think and what i could do to make it better and for you to share your imagination by trying ur hand at the original, well, hope to get some responses!

Overall you pulled off the "studio effect" pretty well. The only thing that bothers me is lighting on their faces. There is more light on their foreheads
than in relation to the rest of their faces. yelhsaneerg 09-19-2006, 03:35 PM thanks, i didn't really notice until i looked at the small picture of the attachment, it was more noticible to me there.....i was a having a lot of trouble finding the right lighting but i guess i SHOULD go back in and try to render better lighting effects...thanks for ur input :D
ashley stosh7 09-19-2006, 04:34 PM I tried for a tighter crop, lightened the background and adjusted the contrast and coloring. I think the result is credible.
How do you like it?
Stosh yelhsaneerg 09-19-2006, 05:18 PM thanks for ur rendition....looks good, i especially like what you've done with the brown eyes, they look so deep and almost have that wet look to them...the light background looks fine too but i guess i've just always been more partial to the black and white look....maybe it depends on my mood :P but overall looks good...thanks so much for ur input :D

marsha JimJam 09-29-2006, 06:00 PM Heres your picture after levels adjustment, going through Auto FX Mystical Tint Tone & Color- B&W red filter and optikVerve Labs- Radiant filter.I hope you like it. I am not into b&w photography so I am sure pros will find a lot wrong with my image. yelhsaneerg 10-01-2006, 05:54 PM thanks so much jim and marsha, both of ur ideas are great...very good job both of u :D
