Trying to create a custom brush of a grid. Took a photo of a grid then used the Line tool to trace the grid. Trashed the background layer to get a transparent background. Flatten the layers then Simplified the photo. Used the Rectangular Marquee to select the grid then Edit > Define Brush from Selection which is "greyed out" and inactive. If I go back and select about 80% of the grid then the Define Brush from Selection is active but I can't get the entire grid as a custom brush. The Define Pattern from Selection remains active during this exercise.
Any help?

Hi Gregg, I don’t know if this is the answer to your problem, but in Photoshop Elements 4
If you look in help under custom brush size it says the maximum brush shape is 2500pixels x 2500 pixels.
Albert.

Thanks Albert, I guess if I make the photo of the grid that I'm tracing smaller then it should work. thanks for the tip.
