Hi all,
remember my thread "flawless skin" (http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/photo-retouching/15249-need-help-creating-flawless-skin-glamour.html) ? :) I learned much from that and i wanted to show my progress... i also read about the styles of jill greenberg and the pwl thing and jim fiscus.. so i decided to go that way and here is the result in a first picture

i ask for real hard critique... want to become better...so please be honest
i myself think it would probably be a bit too much ...)
thx in advance
regards mario

I think you did a great job on the color. Her face looks a little flat, you might want to add some shading to it. One very important thing that you forgot, is to retouch the reflection in the window. I'm no expert so I'll leave the rest of the critique up to the people who've been doing this for some time.

thx for your opinion...
i did retouch the reflection in the window but by far not as much as the girl herself...
the face is my big problem.. the faces always look flat.. dont know how to fix this :)
u think its too much retouching ?

i agree with brian. i think the face is a bit to flat and sharp. makes the subject look really animated in some sense. would of been better if it was more natural.

It's retouch, not paint the face. Concentrate on what is really bothersome bit by bit. Adjust not so evident things based on the overall image as they show themselves. Take what you've done down by 70%.

Start with another image. There is not much detail to begin with there.

Edit: If it's truly fashion, what about the clothing?
Her fly-aways are not attractive. Image looks oversharpened and too contrasty. If you want to focus on beauty how about how wide her nose is and the hard shadow under it. Check under her chin(s). Hair is green/cyan. Hands look pudgy.

Ant has a lot of good points. Her make-up looks a bit tranny to me. And while I love trannies as much as the next person (go Amanda Lepore!) it doesn't translate well in office fashion wardrobe. Ease up on it.
