But that all all some kind of jokes or are they prof retouchers?
Do u know some that shows also the after and before shots? Godmother 10-24-2006, 08:33 AM mmm... They often list the sources in the chops. But I don't know...
I do a little manipulation :)
What do you need this for?
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nataliataffarel Kraellin 10-24-2006, 01:09 PM one shld understand there are differences between a montage, a collage and a photo-manipulation (or 'chop').
a montage is a group of shots put together to form one idea, sequence or overall theme. one shot by itself may not be enough to portray the idea or emotion desired, but as a group they do so. so, something like a series of shots of a baseball being pitched by a pitcher and it's progress towards the plate and batter and all arranged into one image would be a montage.
a collage is a group of objects, photos, parts of photos, parts of objects like newspaper clippings and/or bits and pieces of things combined to make an object or image. things like objects made of bits of macaroni, straw, newspaper clippings and so on, would be a collage.
there are similarities in the two, but they are not the same thing.
a chop or manipulation also has similarities to the above two, but is always an image and is comprised of bits of one image put into another or of parts of one image altered to make a different representation of the original.
so, godmother, your links go mostly to chops. i dont really see a montage in any of them.
so, angel ice, are you looking strictly for montages or any of the above? pellepiano 10-24-2006, 01:24 PM I do a lot of compositing in Photoshop, if thats what you mean. You can look at my gallery at ...
http://www.modelmayhem.com/pics.php?id=92920
.. where all backgrounds have been replaced by photos or Photoshop stuff.
Godmother , great images you have done. The beetle is so good. Godmother 10-24-2006, 02:30 PM Thanks Pellepiano! Love your work also  Angel_Ice 10-25-2006, 06:38 AM Hi, thanks to all..
i'm looking for somethink like this:
http://www.photoshopworld.com/guru/images/vegas06/Armando%20Martinez_Montage.jpg
So...montages I suppose, like I said...
Anyway I like also the galleries of who posted...but looking for montages like i linked up pellepiano 10-25-2006, 06:53 AM That is more like compositing. Extracting objects and put them in another scene, adjusting/painting shadows, correcting color so they will fit.
Thats what I do too, on all my images. But I use models that I put on other images/backgrounds.
Extracting objects like in your example can be very difficult if the have a busy background, and not shot against a bluescreen or at least a one color background.
Extracting can be done with the Extract tool in Photoshop for example. Godmother 10-25-2006, 01:07 PM Well I still think it's the same as this for example http://www.worth1000.com/view.asp?entry=329087&display=photoshop
What do you need the sites for? bella 11-02-2006, 12:18 AM Here is a website you may find interesting. Florian Schneider does a lot of celebrity photography composites. Sorry he does not give any before shots.
http://www.florianschneiderphoto.com skydog 11-02-2006, 04:34 AM His (Florian Schneider ) use of light is really amazing. RobertM 11-14-2006, 06:03 PM Hi,
I'm not a professional, but love to make composites, and have a few I like which can be seen in my 'Composites' and 'Retouch Explorations' gallery at:
www.pbase.com/robert_m_mcfarlane
If there is a project you are needing to complete or an image you are looking for perhaps I can help?
Robert
(my first post here at Retouch Pro) jenfinger77 11-16-2006, 03:05 PM I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, but I do this (almost) every day for work -- I attached a couple of examples. So I'd be glad to help...if help is what you need?
Anyway, take a look. :) All of these were created from photo compositing in one way or another.
Jen
Photoshop -- These look a lot more like illustrations than photos, because I prefer that look for most of my newspaper illustrations, but I have worked in photo-realistic images as well -- just don't have many of them on this comp. The one of the 80s chick is my face on someone else's body -- obviously it wasn't for printing. :) Red Triangle 01-15-2007, 04:38 PM Check under 'bio' he has some animations of the image transformations :pleased:

We've done a couple of projects where they had to do some head swapping. Let me know if you are still looking. We only charge 11.95 per image for this kind of work.
