Hey guys, I saw this unretouched picture of Nnenna (she was on America's Next Top Model, season 5) A real Nigerian beauty.

Here is the link (http://myspace-773.vo.llnwd.net/01257/37/71/1257051773_l.jpg)

And here is my attempt. (http://theveed.com/pages/nnennaclaw.html)

I dodged and burned, used a little tiny dose of noise & scratches, and just tweaked colors and lighting. BUT, I asked her for a copy of the original, so I had a MUCH larger file to work on, so I was able to keep the skin integrity more.

But let's see some other takes on it.

I think you've done an excellent job - obviously its a little small but what we can see is great

I'm satisfied with the result, but hopefully some people will give me some advice...I haven't used any filters...only finished of with a copy to overlay blend mode...

Excellent work Veed! I like, particularly, what you have done with the lighting.

Gerry, your work is improving. Well done!

Sincerely Syd

thanks...I'm pleased, but the file was abit small, so the in depth was abit difficult for me to get good...I used dodge and burn, also som painting to get rid of the difficult skin that didn't go away with dodge and burn...

Painting with 1px pen and same colour on the sam earea helpt me alot...have anyone any advice on that technique? is that bad???

First post here

Here's my version.

Removed the Jpeg artifacts, smoothed it out a bit, added some color, and voila. Quickly done at work, and the starting img was a bit tiny, but fun to do.
