"more" is an understatement. Why do so many Poser geeks spend their time making softcore? I bought Poser but gave up trying to use it due to every site with useful information about it being mostly misogynistic fantasies like this. It just got too depressing.

i find it kind of interesting, but isnt that the same girl/image from that tutorial that was linked to a while back? the one that raised a bit of controversy about it being not much of a tutorial?

Well said!

I tried Daz 3d a while back. One of the most badly put-together programs ever. Just a come-on to buy more figures and accessories.

Seems Yoolan is right this one happens to be a photo realistic painting of an actual person. That person is a Japanese adult star from what I can gather. Both first and second place are photoshop entries so for once reality albeit painted reality won over CG.

It got to depressing??? The only time a beautiful woman got to depressing to me is when she turned me down. :bawling: :D :D I love the images but it seems to be just an updated version of the dress up paper doll.

The "real" geeks don't. Problem is that, different to real life, the models start off naked and it takes a lot of hard work to put clothes on them.

The best site I've seen for discussing Poser as an app, and not just for discussing the latest shiny bikini on the market, is RuntimeDNA where I'm now posting regularly.
For example have a look at this thread (http://www.runtimedna.com/mod/forum/messages.php?forum_id=43&ShowMessage=247731) where my colleague bagginsbill has been posting his latest work in procedural shaders for cloth textures.

It just got too depressing???
If they were done better, maybe not, but most are just irritating to the eyes of those who are used to chasing imperfections in "real" images.

(Photoshop: I had to look up "misogynistic" ;) )
