Peter :bigthmb: :bigthmb: :bigthmb: jenfinger77 11-16-2006, 02:25 PM Wow -- that is way cool -- this is fun. I'll have that art-subject glow all day now. :) MargaretM 11-16-2006, 03:57 PM Can't resist this spooky photo. Here a quick go at it with Photoshop using colored edges.
MargaretM Dropbear67 11-16-2006, 04:24 PM hope you like it jenfinger77 11-16-2006, 04:26 PM Margaret:
Did you have to do anything else to t (anything major -- I'm sure you had to adjust colors and such.) It makes me feel like the very adventurous heroine in a children's book.
Colored edges... hmmm... MargaretM 11-16-2006, 04:54 PM Margaret: Did you have to do anything else to t (anything major -- I'm sure you had to adjust colors and such.) It makes me feel like the very adventurous heroine in a children's book.
Yes, I did - I was just experimenting and did not keep good track. As far as I remember - first duplicated layer and used channel mixer and made a monochrome layer, then used the cutout filter on the merged down black and white layer. Then using Buzz Pro applied Edges Color to the colored layer. Dragged the edges layer above the Black and White layer and changed blending mode to Color Burn - that gave the red eye. Applied a gradient to the face with same red and added some grain.
How cool to be a heroine!
MargaretM CathyH 11-16-2006, 08:09 PM I love the color and angle of this photo
Thanks for letting us play with it. jenfinger77 11-16-2006, 08:43 PM DropBear: That's how I SHOULD have done my makeup -- I didn't end up being a very scary witch. :)
And CathyH:
I LOVE the way my eye looks -- that is really lovely. palms1 11-17-2006, 02:44 AM Welcome Jen and now for something completely different a mess around with popartist's snapshot layers

colour scheme reminds me of the silent hill movie abit. glikster 12-12-2006, 11:30 AM wanted to go painterly.
edge mask with dust and scratches. Then sharpened the smoothed layer. Then Impressionist chunky chalk faded....then an overlay layer to up the contrast and saturation... and fixed a few bits here and there to make it more painterly. Swampy 12-12-2006, 03:08 PM Ahhhh... Palms... Texture Mapping? :-)
Great versioin! lkroll 12-13-2006, 12:04 AM Still stippling. :) palms1 12-13-2006, 02:27 AM Ahhhh... Palms... Texture Mapping? :-)
Great versioin!
Thank you swampy although i done this before i knew of your great technique so i dont think it is texture mapping ( or if it is it was a accident  ) it was mike finns pop action with a colour change and a emboss layer on the sketch layer. If i get time later i do want to try texture mapping on faces, not gone down that route yet ! ! ! !
