Photos available for retouching

Hi

I've put a couple of photos online that can be used for retouching (providing they are not used for any commercial use outside this site - ©LBphotoGraphics). They are more or less as they came, slightly reduced and levels applied. The second has a slight blue cast, caught the sun, very bright (and hot) day. If everything works out I can post some more.

I don't mind them being used in portfolios, it would also be good if i could let the models have some finished results for their portfolios.

This hundred k limit on this board is killing me :(

If you would like a proper sized, proper saved version of that without the 100k limit, then let me know and I'll send you it in email... or imageshack it..

The model is welcome to it if she likes it.

I wont get to the images until next week or so, but ill pm you on here with a link to the files when they are completed.

I'll also include a byline on the image giving you credit as the photog.

The trick with this photo is to replace the sky and make it look natural. I didn't have much time but tried to get the idea across. There is no information in the blown out original.

Here is a full size proper resolution retouch of the one I posted earlier. I just cant bring myself to cut it down to 100K

I finally had to make myself stop -- it's way past time for m to go home for the evening.

But... here is my version on one of them. I got caught up in the hair fly-aways -- shoulda let 'em go!

Anyway, see what y'all think -- it's kind of vibrant, compared to the others...

Just a small version to use on web sites. Only color correction to match reality and sharpening.

I messed about A LOT with this. Had great fun, too! :D


ETA: Wow, compression really killed the colours, making the pinker tones look greenish. :(

Hi, sandesh, and welcome to here! :D


What you need to do is save a file so that it is below 100kb, and then just below the text book you use to post a message is a button that says "manage attachments". Click on that and a browse/upload thingy pops up. Find the file you want to upload using "browse", click upload, then close that window when the upload is complete. Then click reply to your post, and the file will be attached to your text post. (Hope that makes sense!)

Alex - I really like the color tones you got, and the crop is great. Did you desaturate it?

Irshgirl - I think it is neat how you emphasized the blue bricks, I thought maybe if you made her eye-shadow the same tone or shade it would bring it together.

The one think that has bothered me on this image is the high light on her top, it draws to much attention away from her face.

Everyone has done a great job.

Played with D&B, color levels in CMYK, various blends and desats. Would be happy yo send you the PSD file if you like (30 Megs). Latest version with highligh on the blouse fixed.

Alex, That looks better. I think I will have to look into working in CMYK.

Think you are all doing very well, a lot of variations. I will have to look up some more, I want to do some sorting in the next day or two anyway.

I'll attempt to post a version i did the other day, altered the tone etc. What do you think of the amazing thin waist?

I like what you did with the shape of the face. How did you do it?

Had a lot of trouble retouching this file, especially trying to get the blown sky lookig ok.

I think it looks good, especially with a good sky. I like the flesh tones as well.

Thanks Lloyd. I find the haloing around the top of her head distracting but I'm afraid I don't have the 'leet skillz0r' to get rid of that completely..
