At the risk of offending, I might mention that this is a "G" rated site and suitable for the viewing pleasure of children. I'm glad you posted a warning; however, this is not some of the other sites that allow you to post a warning and a link to nudity. You might want to crop and display only the face and shoulders for critique.

For the record, I did not view the image and am therefore unable to comment on the skill or lack thereof in retouching. I will be glad to look and learn if the picture is cropped.

Sign me, old fashioned and modest.

Janet

Hi, I'd be more than happy to give you a private critique if you PM me the link, I adore tasteful nudes (no, I'm not a pervert ;)) I think the style of photography is a great skill and a true artform.

Hi Natalia,

I'd like to begin by saying that you have very good work! Congratulations!

I saw the image you posted on Deviant and I would have some comments on it for you. Please note that in glamour retouching, your particular taste or the art director's/client's taste is what really matters. It is a very personal kind of work. These are only my opinions:

The eye shot: I think it lacked a bit more transparency and colour in the cornea. And you could also have retouched the big white spot on its top left corner, leaving it just as a slight reflex of the enviroment.

The Breast with dress shot: It lacked a bit of detail on the fabric of the dress, and the shadows were not so well drawn. overal, the shot is not very well lightened, it is flat (with is a problem inherent to the shot itself, not your retouching work) the skin tone is going toward a greenish colour cast, wich can be a problem when printing it.

The breast profile shot: you could work a little more on volume (light and shadow) to enhance the anatomic details. the overal colour cast is also heading toward a greenish tone. I'd ad a bit more of magenta to better balance it.

I actually did some of the sugestions on a file wich I can e-mail to you if you wish.

Once again, you have very good work!!

Cheers,

George Rutherford
