I scanned this ash leaf, added a background and applied these filters:


KPT Effects - Pyramid Paint (leaf only)

Flaming Pear - Boss Emboss (applied to a desaturated, layer copy set to overlay)
Alien Skin - Resurface (Canvas texture)

Finished with a 50% gray layer in overlay mode to tweak light and dark areas.

I've included the initial scan for you to play with.

Photomaster. Great scan! Lots of depth and conture.

Made me think of the great book and masterpiece of anthology...Leaves of Gold.

interesting, photomaster. i like that you seem to have a bit of shadow on the leaf edge giving it depth. that would have been very easy to leave out with that original black background from the scan.
