Is there a way to convert a digital file to look more like a kodachrome print?

Welcome to RetouchPro, Mike! Just to make sure we're talking about the same topic, Kodachrome is the name given to a Kodak slide film rather than a print film. If that is what you're talking about, I'm no expert, but have read a little bit about how you might get the look. (I shot a bit of Kodachrome some years ago, but that doesn't help much with a digital file.)

Kodachrome has been described as sharp, high contrast, with highly saturated reds and blacks. To get bright reds, you can use the channel mixer adjustment layer -- you could set the red channel at 140% red and -20% blue and -20% green. (It is helpful to keep the sum of all three channels equal to 100%.) You can desaturate the greens, by selecting the green channel (still in channel mixer) and setting the green to about 80%, with the red and blue each set to 10%. It was a very fine grained emulsion, so I guess you need to use low ISO or de-noise your image to look very sharp, smooth and clean.

Don't know if there's a plug-in or action posted somewhere to help give the look, but I'm sure someone here will suggest a link if there is something available.
