Can anyone help me with removing or reducing the appearance of rosacea?

I attached the photo I'm trying to correct.

Selected the facial and neck area using a mask, used Image->Adjustments->Selective Color and backed off the magenta in the red channel. Then applied the principals of ByRo's Degrunge found here http://retouchpro.com/tutorials/index.php?m=show&id=213

Cassidy's recommendation to use Selective Color adj is the most effective method. You may not need to mask anything if the slight magenta cast affects the entire image. Try it 1st without masking and if the other colors go to much toward green, then you will need to isolate the face.
As for any skin roughness, if the uploaded image is representative of your hi res original, then you may not need to go through the whole degrunge process. Instead try running a noise filter such as Noiseware. The attachment below took about just a few seconds to run.

Okay, I had a quick go at this to see what steps could be taken. I opened a levels adjustment layer and turned down the midtones in the red to .95 and upped the green midtones to 1.20. I then loosely selected the three reddest areas, namely: the two cheeks and the chin, feathered the selection by 7 pixels, opened a curves adjustment layer and on the Green curve did the following: input=102/output=106. I added a warming photo filter to the skin areas only and drew a very small s-curve on another Curves Adjustment Layer to up the contrast ever so slightly. That layer I set to Luminosity so as not to mess with the color which I was already satisfied with.

Syd, respectfully, Rosacea not only causes a discolouration, but a raised rash like state too, a very fine red rash, totally non indicative of original skin colour and texture, unlike rubella, occurs on the face rather than the torso

Katrin Eismann has a Rosacea fix in her Restoration & Retouching Vol 3 book. She uses the Channel Mixer, Hue & Sat and curves. It worked pretty well on Tchu's image.

I believe I overworked the picture somewhat... whats new...lol

I did degrunge then Hue/saturation and shifted the deeper red to yellow. I think a little rose is becoming.

Then once through a noise filter.

Duplicated layer-H/S red to -30, neat image, layer mask and painted lips back to their original red--more or less.
