Does anybody know of a can't miss technique to add burnt edges to a print?

I have a client that wants me to create a 16x20 enlargement printed on canvas. she has asked that I create a burnt look around the edges. There are a few tutorials out there but I was wondering if any of the amazing people here at RetouchPRO had any killer techniques or tutorials to recommend.

As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alan

Alan this tutorial is for making one of those old wanted posters. It shows you how to give the paper that old distressed look. I am not sure if it will be of any help but perhaps you could check it out here (http://www.lunacore.com/photoshop/tutorials/tut024.htm) . Scroll ahead to page 9 (the final page) to see the end result.

Alan, I whipped this one up in a moment or two using (I cheated) AutoFX Photographic Edges programme.
