I am trying to learn how to color line art with photoshop. Please let me know what you think about this. The line art is not mine, but the coloring is. I don't like the little curls at the bottom of her hair, I smeared them badly, but other than that, any hints or suggestions?

I think you did a good job. I really like the colors.
I would agree with the end of the hair, they are too strong, and I think I would tone down the shadows in the hair too. This is my opinon, you maybe going for a high contrast look.

Excellent work on the coloring. The upper hair is wonderful.

My concern is the area around her nose and mouth. I think I would have erased the dark lines and lightened up that area. She looks like she has a mustache to me.

I knew there was something i didn't like about her upper lip. The lines there were in the original drawing, I think they were intended to show where a shadow should be. I'll work on that area. I am a little lost about what to do to make her face come more alive. She looks kinda "zombie-ish" to me.

Thank you both for your comments, it really helps me to get opinions from people that look with a fresher eye than mine.

Maybe tweaking the shadows on her face some more might help. I noticed how the shadows fall on her facial features does appear a little flat and 'odd' to me, I came to the zombie-like impression too and I think that a little more work on developing some complexity and depth to the shadow/light on her face to shape her features in lieu of those sketch lines on her face may make a difference there.
