Britsdad 12-01-2006, 08:03 AM Firstly, welcome to the forum New2TheGame....now Flora, on this forum, has made some excellent "eyebrow brushes" here's a link to the download http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/87499-post25.html Hope they are what you've been looking for. John ray12 12-01-2006, 02:10 PM I use eyelash brushes all the time. You can google for: "photopshop eyelash brushes" and several sets are free. I often make my own brushes by duplicating great eyelashes from celebrity pictures. A great site is "skins.be" especially in the forum area. You can find huge pitcures there where the eyelashes will be as big as your screen. I just "quick mask" over the eyelashes with a small brush - and then I create a selection around the lashes. I make a duplicate of this layer on a new layer so that the lashes are now separated out by themselves on their own layer and the background is transparent. The model with the missing eyelashes is on the bottom layer - and my new eyelashes are now on a new layer. Now I go to Menu> Edit> Define Brush Set. If the eyelashes are on a transparent layer, and there is a selection around them - then this step will make an actual eyelash brush for you that you can re-use again and again. I have made several kinds of sets like this and they are always ready for a retouching session. I have a range of different kinds of lashes to suit the mood of the picture im working on. These lashes can be resized, transformed, warped and recolored to your taste. I usually take some hair color and then transform the eyelashes into place with the warp tool untill they fit perfectly. Maybe a little blur, maybe a little multiply mode, and maybe an opacity adjustment - and they look natural and Great. It really adds a lot of pop and glamour to the picture. Many subjects do not do their eyes well - and having brushes like these can turn an average picture into a stunning shot. The eyes are so important. Below is what your brushes would look like if you used this process to create a set. Hope this helps some. Ray12 |
