The attached image shows the problem I am facing. This view of the house was photographed as the sun was setting and the photographer didn’t wait until the sun was down. The resulting lens flair shows it all. I was able to go in using Flora's excellent tutorial on "making a difficult selection" to blue the sky and remove most of the glare, but the roof tiles remain a problem. they are a different color and still show the flair. I tried going in and copying small sections where they were the correct color, and not showing the flair, but the results were not what I expected. Any ideas on how to proceed?

why not take another shot? pictures like this is really difficult to get 100% and if it's for retail it shouldn't be altered...Wait for a sunny afternoon, take the picture....It's better...

Nasty. One nice thing is that you can use the polygonal lasso tool to make precise selections. I selected the roof area in the flair and cloned in the roof and then selected the sky and replaced it. Clouds anyone?
