Looks like you do HDR...? aussie 12-08-2006, 04:16 PM great imagery. are you able to show us before shots of the boat and olive grove? Littlecoo 12-08-2006, 04:30 PM Very, very nice Andrew... Are you an Escher fan by any chance? Kraellin 12-09-2006, 08:56 AM very nice work! i especially liked the doorway and the single tree one. Andrew Brooks 12-10-2006, 03:49 PM Littlecoo well spotted, got a book right near my desk here of his work. I really love the way he combines real amazing beautiful craftsmanship with outlandish ideas, and an obsession with rendering/studying light, I have some future projects in mind which kind of work in some of his more optical illusion ideas, just not to sure about the approch yet...
To destroy the magic a bit I'll drop the boat on as I found it. I shot it from lots of difforent angles then spent a few hour building the boat I wanted, but here's a shot right of the camera...(Think I've attatched that shot to this message, but not to sure, if it's not there I'll put up a link tomorrow)
Oh, I've just started a Blog of my work, which kind of goes into how I create my images and some othere video projects I am working on, you can check that out at http://andrewbrooksphotography.com/contact/Blog.php
a Littlecoo 12-10-2006, 09:32 PM Andrew, I found this vector grid amongst my files this morning, and thought you might be interested. If you have Illustrator or similar (or CAD software for that matter) you can tweak around with it. Swampy 12-11-2006, 12:16 PM Oh, WOW... I saw the Olive Grove and just had to go Van Gogh. Did some smudging then ran my minimum line art technique, tweaked some layer blend modes and added a little texture. Not "Scream" by any means, but kinda Van Goghish.
For the monestary door, I added a stucco texture then masked that out around the door area. Littlecoo 12-11-2006, 02:41 PM Very cool Swampy... your textures look awesome :bigthmb:
Oh "The Scream" is a Munch painting btw. Swampy 12-11-2006, 02:58 PM Ahhh... Munch... thanks for the correction... I was heading in the direction of Van Gogh's Starry Night, but the result was more like Munche's The Scream. LOL Kraellin 12-12-2006, 11:19 AM dee dee,
i like your stucco. it works well on the walls. but i find it distracting on the floor below the steps as my eye is looking for a smoother floor area rather than a textured wall type. Swampy 12-12-2006, 02:11 PM You're right, Craig. I went back and fixed it and reposted it. Thanks. Andrew Brooks 01-29-2007, 02:31 PM Hey, interesting effects, I like what you have done with the olive grove...
A Andrew Brooks 05-20-2007, 04:05 AM Just finished a new image built of over 400 shots from about 30 shoots which I thought you folks might like to see.

A Janet Petty 05-20-2007, 07:07 AM Wonderful work Andrew. May I suggest that rather than posting this piece to this thread/forum, you post it to the gallery or photography sections. I believe it will get a lot more viewers in either of those places rather than here.
