Hey, im looking for information regarding blending two images together so it looks natural. For example a person in one pic, and putting them on another background, looks fine but the edges around the person look a little too sharp in contrast to the background. So the person pops out a little too much.

so any info would help :)

There are many things to consider, from using images with about the same lghting, adjusting color and contrast so they fit together, angles, and the extraction of the person.

There are several ways to extract. Photoshop has a tool for this, the Extract Tool which sometimes work great and sometimes, depending on image, needs some work afterwards.

You can also use one of the channels as a starting point for a layer mask. If the background has a color not present in the subject ( bluescreen ) you can use the Color Range to make a selection.

Jagged edges may benefit drom selecting the subject and feather the edeges a pixel or so.

Here is an example where the shot of the girl was made to mimic the lighting of the window in the background image.

Techniques will differ dependant on the images used, without viewing the images concerned it's hard to give anything other than generalities.

Basically keep lighting, texture and focus/sharpness constant between the two images.

Lighting in particular does not just mean how dark/bright things are, but the contrast and interplay of shadows. The eye is remarkably sensitive to these, and you will subconsciously detect even slight differences.
