Hi there,

Can someone tell me if it is possible in Photoshop to knock out the background
by color selection.
For example I got a tree on a perfectly white background, the tree has plenty of leaves, now I know I can use Mask (Magic Wand) and select what ever I like to mask, bu there is so much detail that seems impossible or at least neverending procedure.
I was wondering if there is an event that I could lets say select white and
and exclude it out of the image without using mask.
I know its possible in video editing software I think it's called alpha exclude or something.

Can anyone help.

Yeah Photoshop has a lot of ways to select color. For starters try Select/Color Range in photoshop. Then with the left eyedropper click the area that you want to select. Adjust the fuzziness slider until you get what you want and there you are.

Morph, you can also use the magic wand and uncheck the Contiguous box in the option bar. Then once touch of the wand should select the entire background.
