Hi guys, this is the other before and after using a similiar technique as my other posting.

I think there isnt enough color in the shot to make this shot work as well as the other with this technique. I do like the composition though.

Let me know what you all think.

Thanks

I like the contrast you have added to the image. Makes it 'say' a lot more than the original. My only gripe... and this is just a personal thing... the pink ribbon (at least that's what it looks like to me) is really distracting my eye. I see brushes and what looks like paint/oil and grime and my brain tells me that the pink thing does not belong.

Hmmmm, tho on second thoughts that might be a good thing. "The unexpected element" is artful in a way. I suppose it's subjective, like all art is.

I like your treatment though. I'm glad you sharpened the image up as the first one is way too soft.

thanks for the critique, I also find the pink distracting. I had 2 versions one with the pinks and green desaturated and the one you saw. Attached to this post is the desaturated one. I almost want to remove the basket and all this other misc back there completely, it would simplify the image and effect completely right? I can extend the boat railing straight across from the left side to the right side.

I like the look, but the same method doesnt really work as well on this image. I think its because there simply isnt enough color in different areas to bring back as needed. Or maybe this shot isnt as good as the other and Im working hard to make it a good image?

Palm, I see we have similiar taste and issues with the same files, do I hear a collaborative project coming soon for the 2 of us? :pleased:
